Let's say Congratulations to our Ho'oKele Elementary CARES Students for Quarter 2! These two students have earned their CARES award by showing how much they care for others, themselves, and our school!
At Ho'okele, it is our vision and mission for our students to Connect, Engage, Inspire, Serve, and Succeed. Today, we got to perform our song "Must Be Santa" in front of the whole school! It was so much fun! ** Sorry parents! I only got to record the last part of our performance!! Not to worry we did a special one in our classroom so you are able to see our WHOLE wonderful performance and all the hard work these AMAZING students put into it! Today we got to use strips of green paper to measure which one was long, longer, longest or short, shorter, shortest. When we put all the green strips together, we found out it made a Christmas tree!!
It is finally December! It is almost Christmas! We got to make a bell to help us count down to Christmas!! We also made a AB pattern with the colors green and red to help us make our chain!
For art, we got to learn about different lines we can use when we draw. We can use wavy lines, straight lines, criss criss lines, dotted lines, swirly lines, diagonal lines, and zig zag lines to help us draw a picture. We used our hands to fill up with all the different lines we can use in art!
Today we got a special treat! Students from IPA came and performed Pinocchio for us! The play was really funny and we all enjoyed ourselves! Thank you IPA for performing for us!!
Every Thursday is our Resource Day! We have Library, P.E., Hawaiiana, Music, and Guidance.
Here we are in P.E. learning how to exercise so we can become strong and healthy! In Wonders, we learned about BUGS!! We read about them and learned that Insects begins with the letter "I". We also got to make spider HATS!
